Where's it made?
"Where are your clothes made?" is a common and very important question for both you and us. We take pride in working exclusively with smaller, family-run businesses.
As President of M Sport 6 Apparel Inc, I believe that "manufacturing in a corporate way" is not the right approach. It's essential for us to know every single person involved in making our clothes. That's why we've personally met everyone who works with us. I'd much rather have 20 small, family-run manufacturing facilities than one large, corporate one.
Currently, we partner with manufacturers in Mexico, Canada, China, and the USA. We're always looking to expand our network, but the process of finding perfect manufacturing partners takes time. We also collaborate with other businesses globally for additional services and products, including partners in Ireland, New Zealand, and India.
Our strict policy requires all manufacturing partners to be:
* Family-run
* Committed to extremely high quality
* Ethically operated, with fair wages and compensation
* Fully transparent, with an open-door policy for unannounced visits
* Friendly and courteous
While these may seem like simple rules, the vetting process takes approximately one year. Each potential partner must pass every test. We give one warning for quality failures, and remove them after a second failure. We have high expectations, but as a result, we build strong relationships with our partners. I have personal connections with Maribel in Mexico, Amber in China, and Alyse in Canada. We share stories and support each other's families.
We're always looking to expand and hope to one day manufacture on every continent. This aligns with our philosophy of six degrees of separation – we are all connected.
Sincerely,
Monique Vek
